It sounds too simple to make a difference doesn't it? But something as straightforward as putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) can be the best way to highlight your concerns to Government.
You can read our suggested template letter, but writing in your own words is always best. You can find your MPs contact details here and be sure to include your address so that they can write back.
An Early Day Motion is a form of petition for MPs, which calls on Government to support the recommendations in our report and create a strategy to tackle the problems.
Simply copy and paste the text, in bold, below into an email for your local MP. Find your MP's contact details at the Parliament website.
As a supporter of St Mungo's and a member of your constituency, I would like you to sign St Mungo's Action Week EDM 293.
"That this House supports the aims of St Mungo's Action Week 2010 from 20 to 27 June, which focuses on the dedicated support that homeless people need to make the journey back to work; recognises that the homeless, socially excluded and long-term unemployed require integrated, personalised and specialist support to get back into employment; and calls on the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department of Health to work together to improve the support provided to this vulnerable group."
