St Mungo's is delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to abseil down one of the London's most iconic buildings. An imposing Art Deco structre, built in 1937, Senate House housed the Ministry of Information during World War II and inspired George Orwell's description of the Ministry of Truth in his novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. It has been in various TV shows such as Dr Who, Jeeves and Wooster and recently in the final episode of Black Mirror, as well as films such as The Dark Knight.
No prior experience is necessary to take part as you receive all your training and abseiling kit on the day. We will also have a photographer to capture the moment you start your descent. Do invite your friends and family to cheer you on and capture the moment you land firmly back on the ground!
