Support Planning Training
Course outline
Aim
To enable participants to consider how well defined client needs, SMARTER support plans, up to date procedures and a client centred approach combine to enable clients to progress and projects meet the support planning standards set by Supporting People.
The course builds on the quality assessment framework and offers:
Outcomes
By the end of the session participants:
- Are able to write client support plans which are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timeframed, Evaluated and Rewarded (SMARTER)
- Will have reviewed St Mungo's procedures and documentation related to Support Planning
- Decide which of the standards of the QAF Support Planning are hardest to implement and evidence, and explored ways of meeting these standards
- Will have explored how support planning supports the recovery of clients
- Will have had the opportunities to reflect on and share good practice.
- Agree two or more action points at the end of each session
Approach
The half and full days will be both practical and highly interactive using a range of exercises and materials. The trainer believes learning should be non-threatening, enjoyable and challenging of prejudice.
