Dwell Retail Ltd. is currently supporting St Mungo's life changing Pathways to Employment programme. The London based furniture company decided to donate £50,000 to St Mungo's to fund a Basic Skills Worker in 2009. The Pathways to Employment programme aims to make on-site education and training a central part of our residents' experience. Residents sign on to an employment plan and are given guidance and training in areas ranging from basic skills through to specific fields such as IT, first aid and food hygiene. The support continues through to a job search, and into the first six months of employment.

Why St Mungo's?

Founding Director of Dwell, Aamir Ahmad explains why the team chose St Mungo's.

"We wanted to make a difference to people's lives, and when we found out about St Mungo's Pathways to Employment programme, it struck a chord. We saw how successfully the programme has worked in their Cedars Road hostel in Lambeth, and decided to pledge £50,000 to finance the same programme at St Mungo's hostel in Covent Garden".
