Current funding needs

Currently, we are in particular need of funding for improving our clients access to healthcare. Homelessness and poor health is inextricably linked, and alarmingly less than a third of homeless people are receiving treatment they so desperately need; many are dying as a result.

We are also upgrading facilities in our hostels to give people better places to live and a better chance of making rapid progress away from street life.

Employment is a very effective route out of homelessness, but for many of the people we help, their health problems combined with their lack of skills and recent work experience make the journey into employment more a marathon rather than a sprint. St Mungo's aims to provide our clients with pathways to employment and are looking for voluntary income to support this innovative approach to learning and integration.
