The Heritage Lottery Fund
The Heritage Lottery Fund is sponsoring the launch of St Mungo's Oral History Project. This project is aimed at gathering the stories and experiences of homeless men and women. The goal is to help raise the self-esteem of those taking part but also to raise public awareness around homelessness issues. St Mungo's will train volunteers to record the interviews. The resulting material will be on view at exhibition spaces throughout London educating the public about homelessness issues and also supporting students learning about the history and sociology of London.
