Bridge Training Centre
Bridge Training Centre is a flexible and dynamic project for anyone who has been homeless and wants to gain access to training and employment.
We offer a safe, friendly and warm environment in which people can learn the skills they need to take responsibility for their own lives. They can also take part in creative activities. Bridge has been running since 1996 and is based in West London, close to Portobello Road.
'Bridge Changes' is a programme for those who have experienced problems with drugs or alcohol. Over a period of 13 weeks, we help people to set goals and find ways in to employment, volunteering or training. We also run an open access drop-in on Thursdays. Please contact us to register for either of the programmes.
The free activities currently offered at the Bridge Centre include:
- One-to one sessions to help plan and review progress
- Group training, including help to focus on getting back to work
- Access to ECDL training (European Computer Driving Licence)
- Day courses in digital photography, web design, music software and Photoshop
- An opportunity to take Literacy Level 1 & 2 qualifications
- Women's only afternoon on Tuesdays
- Our own in-house magazine 'Source' edited and produced by members
- Monthly relaxation/yoga group.
These may change from time to time, so please call 020 8960 6798 for more information.
