About Bricks & Mortar

The aim of this training programme is to provide St Mungo's clients with skills in plastering, bricklaying and to help them with their personal development.

The training has been designed to inspire and motivate, whilst developing the trainee's confidence and professional skills, with the specific aim of gaining fully paid employment.

Bricks and Mortar
  • Will run three accredited courses a year
  • Each course will work with 8 clients at a time
  • We expect a high number of clients to pass the course
  • We expect clients who complete the course to move into paid employment or further training

To celebrate the successful completion of their training programme, a group of St Mungo's trainees were presented with awards during an event held at our Endsleigh Gardens hostel on Wednesday 8 October 2008.

"This course means the world to me because it's given me a direction and goal to fulfil. It's given me self motivation, sense of responsibility and new skills which I thought I could never have achieved."
