Social enterprise

St Mungo's sees social enterprise - working on community projects - as a positive way of empowering clients.

Clients develop a wide range of skills that can help them to gain employment and recover from homelessness for good. These range from the 'hard' skills needed to do a particular job, to 'softer' skills like communication and negotiation.

In 2009 we launched the ReVive property maintenance social enterprise.

We also have a number of new and innovative projects, designed to help more of our clients into employment. These include a painting and decorating project with accredited training, bricklaying and plastering, and a recording studio in our Endell Street Hostel; and various gardening projects with our Putting Down Roots team.
