Having the exhibition in the House of Commons allowed parliamentarians to listen and read these are honest and personal stories. It is essential that both policy makers and service providers remember the individual and that the policies we create and the services we provide are for a collection of individuals not statistics. This is something which can be all too easily forgotten, but vital for those who are develping policy that impacts upon homeless and vulnerable people.
Bellow is a short film produced by Artan Madzari of the launch event on October 31st. It includes extracts from Neil Allan's speech, dercribing his experience of being a Peer researcher for the Street Stories project.
