Lord Young’s story

Sir George Young, now Lord Young of Cookham, served as a Conservative MP between 1974 and 2015. As Sir George Young, he was Housing Minister in John Major’s government from 1990 to 1994. During this time he oversaw the Rough Sleepers Initiative, which delivered significant investment in services to reduce rough sleeping in London.
