The route
The Hackney Half route sees runners cruise down Mare Street though a carnival of sound, pass by the famous Town Hall, head through the historic Broadway Market, and then take in Hackney Wick, which is flush with vibrant street art. Explore green spaces including Haggerston and Downs Parks, cross over twelve canals and rivers, and enjoy a panoramic view of the Olympic Park.
The cheering crowds will carry you past highlights like the Hackney Downs and the Hackney Empire — plus there will be live bands and DJs at every mile to keep you going. Cross over the finish line into a full festival of fitness on the Hackney Marshes. Just like the borough, this route brings the spirit.
2021 Brighton Marathon
Join St Mungo’s Home Team for the 2020 Brighton Marathon . With an amazing atmosphere and beautiful sea views, the Brighton Marathon is the perfect event for runners of all levels and experience.

The route
Take on the 26.2 mile route around the vibrant city of Brighton – take in the sea views, soak up the amazing atmosphere and enjoy a fabulous finish at the beach! The route takes in the iconic Brighton Pavilion before you reach the beautiful Sussex coastline and the finish on Madeira Drive.

Take on a half marathon through the heart of this world famous university city.
Run amongst the dreaming spires and beautiful architecture of this historic city in the 13.1-mile Virgin Sport Oxford Half Marathon. With a fast and flat course, this is an event for both beginners as well as more experienced runners in search of that elusive PB.
The race starts right in the heart of Oxford, taking you past its famous colleges and beautiful parks before finishing by the Radcliffe Camera.
With a vibrant atmosphere and cheering crowds, this is one of the standout running events in the UK.
2018 Vitality London 10,000
Join St Mungo’s for London’s most scenic 10k race, which starts and finishes in St James’s Park.
The Vitality London 10,000 follows a similar route to the Olympic marathon, and is a unique way to see the sights of the city. You will be inspired on by cheering crowds as you pass landmarks such as the Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace.
A fantastic way to spend your Bank Holiday Monday, while seeing the spectacular sights of London.
With a registration fee of just £10 and modest fundraising ask of £95, it is a fantastically achievable opportunity to do something great this year!

2023 Royal Parks Half Marathon
The 2021 Royal Parks Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday 11 April 2021.
Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the scenic 13.1 mile route takes you through the heart of the capital passing famous landmarks including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye.
The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for all abilities – for beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners, looking to beat their personal best time.

It covers a two lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic-free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. The race starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street, in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath.

Join St Mungo’s Home Team for the 41st Virgin Money London Marathon – the world’s largest annual fundraising event! Join us for the biggest running event in the UK and one of the six top world marathons that form the World Marathon Majors.
This is one of life’s great challenges: the atmosphere is second to none and the sense of achievement is wonderful
As a fundraising event, nothing can compete with the marathon, with thousands of people taking to the streets many in fancy dress, raising money for causes close to their heart.

Ultra Challenge – Thames path challenge
Starting on 9 September there are three fantastic river events to get involved in.
Thames path challenge
In full this will see you walk or run from Putney Bridge to Henley, a distance of 100km. If you don’t fancy 100km you can do other challenges including:

2 Day option – 50km on Saturday and 50km on Sunday
Half Challenge – 50km options
Quarter Challenge options
Thames bridges trek
Join 2,000 others as we venture across the capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline. You will set out from Putney Bridge and head east towards the City. The catch is you will zig-zag over the array of historic bridges.
Ultra Challenge – South coast challenge
There are numerous challenges you can get involved in on both the south coast and London. Take on one of the Ultra Challenges and do something amazing in 2017.

Starting on Saturday morning 26 August – in Eastbourne you will take in some of England’s finest scenery including:

the South Downs Way
Brighton midpoint
Devils Dyke
Historic Arundel where the challenge ends.
There are different challenges to choose from including:
Full Challenge (100km) – 24+hrs
Half Challenge (1st/2nd ~ 50km)
Quarter option (1st ~25km)
Full 2 Day Option ~50km / day
Walk it, jog it, or run it
The challenge you choose will be a test of determination and a journey of self discovery.
Most will walk at their own pace, many will jog parts, and some will run the full 100km course. All will have a special reason to push themselves.
Sign up as an individual or as a team and you’ll receive full support and great hospitality all the way to the finish line.
