How your support helps

Sleeping rough in winter can kill. But one night in safety can change a life. By supporting St Mungo's, you could help make tonight someone's last night on the street, and the first day of a new life.

Our frontline workers are out, every single night, bringing people in from the cold. Your gift could help us provide safe beds, warm meals, and ongoing support that helps people to turn their lives around.

Your impact

We are St Mungo's

We have been working for over 50 years to get people off the streets, for good. Every night we offer a bed to more than 2,888 people in the UK.

St Mungo's supported 24,935 people who were homeless or at risk of homelessness in 2020-21, and our Frontline Workers will be out every night this winter.

Homelessness is on the rise

With the cost of living crisis and increased pressures of this winter, the numbers of people sleeping rough on our streets is set to rise.

Homelessness severly shortens lives, with the life expectancy of someone sleeping on the streets at just 45 for men, and 41 for women.

And in extreme winter temperatures, sleeping rough can kill.

Why do people become homeless?
