Generous supporters have helped leading homelessness charity St Mungo’s beat its Celebrity Auction fundraising target by more than £1,000.

The auction, which ran from Monday 14 June until Sunday 20 June, saw some fabulous lots up for grabs including highly desired concert tickets and a backstage meet and greet with indie-rock sensations alt-J, a T-shirt both designed and signed by top British model, Kate Moss and a Chelsea Football club shirt signed the team’s legends themselves.

Bidding was hugely successful with lots such as a pub lunch and exclusive day on set with St Mungo’s Patron and Channel 4’s Location Location Location’s host, Phil Spencer, and a brand new Fender guitar signed by the world famous Coldplay, both attracting hundreds of pounds worth of pledges.

Victoria Bednall, Director of Fundraising at St Mungo’s said: “I am continually amazed by the generosity of our supporters and the celebrities who helped make this auction such a success.

“The money raised will support St Mungo’s to help even more people who are experiencing homelessness to kick start their journey to recovery and give them a chance to lead the happy and fulfilled life that everybody deserves.

“I am so grateful to every single person who supported us, and for every penny donated, it really will help make a difference and I am looking forward to finding out what great lots are up for grabs in our next auction!”

In total, the charity raised more than £2,500 – exceeding the amount raised during their previous Celebrity Auction in 2019.
