Joanna is Chief Executive of Surrey County Council and previously Essex County Council. Previously she was a Partner and Head of Local Government and Devolution at KPMG LLP. Her non-executive roles have included Board Member at London and Quadrant Housing and Chairperson of SOLACE, the professional organisation representing Chief Executives in local government. Joanna is currently a trustee at Nesta. Joanna became St Mungo’s Chair of Trustees in September 2021.
