Joint briefing on Universal Credit

This briefing has been developed by St Mungo’s in partnership with Centrepoint, Homeless Link and Shelter. It outlines our concerns that people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, might face particular difficulties in accessing Universal Credit and gives real life examples of our clients who have struggled with the new system. It calls on the government to introduce changes to the new benefit to ensure that the continued roll out of Universal Credit does not negatively impact the people we represent.
