St Mungo’s response to the consultation on short-term supported housing

In this response, St Mungo’s comments on the government’s proposal to fund homeless hostels through local authority grants, highlighting the potential risks this will cause our services.

St Mungo’s believes that people who need supported housing after a crisis deserve the same protections as those with long term needs, and should have their housing costs met through the welfare system wherever possible.
