Submission to the Work and Pensions Committee inquiry into support for ex-offenders

In this submission we highlight that it can be difficult for offenders to find accommodation when they leave prison, and that too many people end up sleeping rough. We make the case that local authorities should do more to prevent people leaving custody from becoming homeless. We argue that educational opportunities in prisons should reflect the current job market in order to minimise the risk of homelessness and reoffending.
