The beauty of this event is you can design it in your own time to suit you. Once you have signed up we will help you set up your own gaming event. Whether that be as an individual, team, work, group, or more technical challenge, we will provide advice and resources to suit your needs.

The proceeds from Game Changers will help us to provide a variety of services to support people affected by homelessness and help us put an end homelessness. You can find out more about what we do and see a detailed breakdown of how we’ve spent our income in our latest annual review.

You don't have to stream your event and you can game in a team or on your own. Just make sure you tell all your friends and family so you can raise lots of money! We advise following JustGiving’s handy streaming guide to set up your stream and get started.

Here at St Mungo’s we take the safety and wellbeing of children very seriously, so Game Changers is only open to participants aged 18 and over.

You can hold your Game Changers event whenever you like in 2018 and beyond. We are hosting a live event on Thursday 31 January 2019 if you want to join in the fun on this day. The most popular time to host an event will be throughout winter when it’s cold out.

All you need to do is to set up a personalised JustGiving page through our Game Changers campaign page to collect your donations. It’s an easy way for people to sponsor you and add messages of support. When you select St Mungo’s as your chosen charity, all income is transferred directly to us. All you have to do is share your page on your social networks and get the word out to your friends and family.

Gift Aid is an opportunity for donors to boost their donations to St Mungo’s by 25%. It means charities like us can claim the basic tax that donors have paid on their donations back from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). If every supporter agreed to Gift Aid, it would raise hundreds of thousands of pounds more to support ending homelessness. Gift Aid effectively gives us a 25p tax rebate on every £1 that you give.

You can add Gift Aid to your donation if you’re a UK taxpayer. For a charity to claim Gift Aid on your donation you must first have paid UK Income or Capital Gains Tax that financial year (6 April to 5 April). The tax you pay must be equivalent to the amount of Gift Aid the charity will reclaim on your donation that tax year, (and will be claimed by other charities and CASCs). VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
