ACE Women’s Group Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. As a Women’s Group Volunteer you will be working alongside St Mungo’s staff to facilitate group sessions within a creative wellbeing group. This role will be to support with a range of different tasks including: helping to provide a safe space for those who identify as Women, helping set up and clear away table, chairs and creative activities, accessing a kitchen to help with refreshments for clients, occasionally accompanying groups on trips into the community, introducing various activities to participants and signposting attendees to appropriate services for further support.

    Cooking Group Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. Are you keen on cooking? If so then we may have the role for you! You will be encouraging clients to socialise as they cook, as well as collaborating with staff and clients to decide on recipes, and buy ingredients. Working in a kitchen, you will give nutritional and healthy eating information whilst running the cooking classes. Volunteers may also do meal planning with clients and budgeting for cooking.

    • Hammersmith and Fulham- Monday-Friday, 12pm-5pm, 2-3 hours one day per month
    • Hackney-Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 4 hours per week- Please note this service is women only, and therefore we are only accepting volunteer applications from women or those who are female identifying.

    Gardening Group Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s.  We are looking for volunteers to facilitate regular gardening sessions for our clients, guided by St Mungo’s values. This will be a great opportunity to share your talent for and interest in gardening with our clients. We’re seeking someone who is open to helping clients learn at their own pace, and take pride in their achievements. Working with our clients, you can plan the gardening sessions to meet the needs of the participants and take a creative approach to how these are facilitated.

    Please see all locations and the time commitments we are currently recruiting for in this role:

    • Hammersmith and Fulham-Monday-Friday, between 9am-5pm 2-3 hours per week/bi-weekly,
    • Camden-Monday-Friday, between 9am-5pm, 2 hours once a fortnight
    • North Camden-Monday-Friday, 12pm-6pm, 2-6 hours, minimum once a fortnight, 
    • Haringey- 4 hours per week between 9am-5pm, Tuesday or Thursday PM
    • Islington -Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 1 day per week
    • Hounslow-Monday- Friday between 9am-5pm, 2-3hrs per week/bi-weekly

    Art Group Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. Can you help inspire our clients through art? We are looking for an experienced Art group volunteer who can facilitate sessions with groups of clients. We’re seeking someone who can support and empower clients through providing them with a regular creative outlet, and enable them to pick up some skills and tips on the way! We believe that everyone has strengths and you will need to be able to facilitate sessions in a way that is inclusive of all abilities. Working with the clients, you can design the art sessions to meet the needs of the participants and take a creative approach to how these are facilitated.
