Fundraising Assistant Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. Do you have good written and verbal communication skills with a friendly manner. Are you experienced with IT packages including Microsoft office suite .

    The placement will give you experience in key elements of a fundraising role, such as managing a project, stewardship and event management. You will gain insight into three different types of fundraising: events, community and corporate. You will gain valuable experience of liaising with a range of supporter groups, including faith groups, schools, and local businesses. Most importantly you will be supporting a nationwide charity to maximise our potential to support those rough sleeping.

    Please note we will need someone who can primarily work from home using their own laptop.

    •  Remote (with opportunities to attend events in Reading Bristol, Brighton, Bath)  Equivalent of 1 day per week with flexibility on timings based on your commitments.

    Cheer Point Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us at our cheer points at the London Marathon (Sunday 2 October) and the Royal Parks Half Marathon (Sunday 9 October) this year. Your role will be to make as much noise as possible to cheer on our team of amazing runners and help keep them going on the course. Your support will make a huge difference to our runners experience and will boost their fundraising to get us one step closer to ending homelessness.

    Streetlink Phone Line Volunteer

    It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s.  As a Streetlink Phone Line Volunteer, you will be connecting people who are sleeping rough to local support services in their area that can help to end their homelessness.

    You will be taking calls from members of the public including people who are sleeping rough themselves.  As a phone line service, it’s important to note that this role provides support to those sleeping rough over the phone, and not face to face.

    This volunteering role is a great opportunity to not only learn about resources and provision available to those sleeping rough, but to also play a vital role in helping to end people’s homelessness.
