About the role

It is fantastic that you would like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. As a newspaper group volunteer, you would be coordinating and facilitating (alongside a member of staff) a fortnightly newspaper group for clients in a mental health service. The group will be set up in order to discuss news and current events in a supportive, friendly environment. Some of the tasks you will be supporting with in this role include, creating a group agreement with ground rules for how to have positive discussions, introducing topics based on the news/planning beforehand what clients want to discuss and helping to facilitate conversations and discussions in an empowering way.

Please see all locations and the time commitments we are currently recruiting for in this role:

  • Islington-Monday- Friday, every other week, for 1-2 hours (between 9am-5pm)
