Unlike traditional colleges, the main focus of this college is not on achieving a qualification. Instead, the Recovery College provides a supportive educational environment in which people have the opportunity to sample a wide range of subjects and wellbeing activities alongside a diverse group of peer learners.
As Digital Drop-in Facilitator you will be leading two IT drop in sessions per week. You will be providing support for clients in a number of online areas including: completing online applications, job searches, writing CVs using Word. We are also looking for someone who can support our clients creatively with creating Blogs, web design and creating artwork, updating their Cooking on a Budget Blog etc.
Ideally the volunteer will have a friendly, creative approach which recognises that IT is a tool for engagement beyond simply learning how to use a computer, as well as a love of technology and desire to share that enthusiasm.
Please note this is a client facing role. A DBS check will be carried out for this role.
