Kerri and Kath’s story

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Choose to Challenge’. To mark the day we caught up with former client, Kerri Douglas, and our Head of Westminster, Rough Sleeping and Migrants Kath Sims. The two women first met 14 years ago when Kerri was homeless, addicted to drugs, and having just been diagnosed with HIV; and Kath was a key worker at a homeless hostel in Westminster. They discuss the highs, lows and challenges of a relationship which has blossomed in to a heart-warming friendship.

Please be aware there is discussion of suicidal thoughts, self-harm and drug use in this item.

Listen to their story below.
