We run services in London, Bath, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Brighton, Bristol, Leicester, Oxford and Reading.
We provide support to people across almost every London borough. Our support ranges from emergency housing, opportunities to learn new skills, like our Putting Down Roots gardening programme, through to innovative accommodation projects, like Housing First.
We recently received permission to continue one of our rough sleeping services in Westminster, which has helped people to recover from homelessness in the borough for over 50 years.
With 18 services across Bristol, we provide support to people at every stage of homelessness. This includes the city’s outreach team, our rough sleeping prevention team and specialist supported housing.
Services like our gardening programme Putting Down Roots and our specialist mental health projects support people to move away from homelessness for good.
St Mungo’s services in Oxford includes Outreach for people experiencing rough sleeping, with access to an Employment Support Team. We also run Somewhere Safe to Stay, for people who are new to or at risk of homelessness, and Housing First accommodation to provide people with a long-term home.
In Brighton & Hove, St Mungo’s operates the largest Housing First project commissioned by any local authority in England.
Housing First is a powerful way to end homelessness. It is an internationally recognised programme designed to support people with high and complex needs who have been unable to sustain a long-term home.
In Reading, our Outreach team provides support to people sleeping rough around Reading. Working in partnership with the people we support, we find the best route out of homelessness and towards recovery for them. Our first priority with anyone rough sleeping is to get a roof over their head as a safe place to begin their recovery.
Across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole we run a number of homelessness and mental health services.
Our outreach team provides daily support to people sleeping rough in the three coastal towns. We also run two accommodation based mental health services as well as leading the area’s Housing First programme.
We work closely with partners in Bath to provide specialist services supporting people in the city.
Our mental health accommodation offers a calm space for people recovering from mental health crisis. We also run an innovative volunteer service which provides peer to peer support for those in the sector. And we work within the NHS helping people who are about to leave hospital but have no accommodation.
