Women’s Sewing Group Volunteer

Women’s Sewing Group Volunteer

About the role

It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. Our Women’s Sewing Group is a long-running, welcoming community group that has been supporting women in Easton, Bristol, for over 10 years. As a volunteer, you’ll support women, mainly from South East Asian communities, to learn new sewing skills, get creative, and build confidence in a relaxed and social setting. We’re looking for someone who is patient, encouraging, and enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds. You don’t need to be a sewing expert, just comfortable using a sewing machine and keen to support others.

This role also involves helping to set up and pack away materials each week and creating a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome. It’s a great opportunity to share your skills, make connections, and be part of a well-loved community group.

*Please be aware, this is a female sewing group, so we are only accepting applications from females.

Please see all locations and the time commitments we are currently recruiting for in this role:
