Following on from the success of our comedy night in 2019 - we are incredibly excited to be back with our comedy night, Laugh Out Loud for St Mungo’s this #WorldHomelessDay! 

Taking to the stage will be Kerry Godliman, Kae Kurd, Tim Vine, Dane Baptiste, Stephen Bailey and Seann Walsh hosted by Jen Brister.

St Mungo’s frontline workers are out on the streets every night, helping to bring people in from the cold, and end homelessness for good. Help make it someone’s last night on the streets – and their first night of a new life.   

Venue: Union Chapel, 19b Compton Terrace, London, N1 2UN

  • The standard price for one ticket is £27 and is subject to a booking fee, which is charged and retained by the seller.
  • This event will operate an online box office only. All tickets bought via the certified sellers’ websites (above) can be printed or presented on your phone.
  • The Union Chapel has a licensed bar on site so you must be 18 or over to attend.
  • The venue has unreserved seating and are taken on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive early before event door times if you have preferred seats. Due to the nature of our venue, please be prepared to queue for entry.
  • The line-up is subject to change.

  • The venue is fully accessible, with use of ramps and the upstairs bar is accessible with use of a platform lift. Please email events@unionchapel.org.uk with your accessibility requirements.
  • The bar is located on the first floor of the venue and will be open pre-show from the stated door time and during the interval. The bar will be closed after the interval.

Alcohol consumption will be limited to the bar area only, it is not permitted to take alcohol to the main chapel space.  An array of soft drinks and snacks will also be available and are permitted in the main space.

Seann Walsh

Described as “the best observational comedian of his generation” (The Guardian), this Edinburgh Award nominee’s last UK tour show ‘After This One, I’m Going Home’ ended with standing ovations around the country. Seann has starred in Netflix’s FlinchLive At The Apollo, Tonight at The London Palladium, Celebrity Juice, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Virtually Famous, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Chatty Man and Stand Up Central. 2022 also saw Seann release his latest stand-up special Kiss free to watch on Youtube.

Kerry Godliman

The charmingly straight-talking, quick-witted Kerry Godliman is one of the country’s best performers. 

Kerry is best known for her appearances on Mock The WeekLive At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Taskmaster, Hypothetical, Ultimate Worrier, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Royal Variety Performance and 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Kerry’s acting talents have seen her receive critical acclaim for her roles in After LifeWhitstable Pearl, Call The MidwifeDerek, Save Me, Bad Move, Carters Get Rich, Mascots and Adult Material.

Kerry is currently on tour with her stand-up show, BOSH.

Kae Kurd

Smart, sharp and brilliantly funny, Kae Kurd is a young British-Kurdish stand up making a serious name for himself. He is recognised as one of the UK’s fastest rising comedy stars, celebrated for creating and curating extensive online content across a range of platforms. 

His debut stand up special Kurd Your Enthusiasm was another huge success receiving over 100K views when released on YouTube, with joe.co.uk’s Creative Director noting “It’s intriguing – and exciting – that a performer with such a slick mainstream swagger is able to weave so many socio-political issues into his act.”

TV credits include: Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two) & Complaint’s Department (Comedy Central). Kae also hosted The Flare Button, TikTok’s first ever live vertical football studio format, providing the must-watch alternative to the traditional half-time broadcast show. The 24 x live shows featured ex-footballers, musicians, comedians and many more guests. A firm favourite for branded collaborations, Kae’s successful partnerships include Nandos, Dominoes and ITV Sport. 

Tim Vine

Stand-up Tim Vine co-starred in the BBC One sitcom No Going Out and both series of ITV1’s The Sketch Show is also a TV host, having devised and presented Fluke for Channel 4, which was nominated for a Rose d’Or Award.

He was also the first man to appear on Channel Five when presenting quiz show Whittle. Tim has also starred in The Tim Vine Christmas Present for Five, Saturday Live (ITV) and The Stand Up Show (BBC1).

Tim recently became the Guinness World Record Holder for telling the most jokes in an hour. He has appeared on the Royal Variety Show, and hastoured the UK with his The Joke Machine Gun show.

He burst onto the stand-up circuit by winning the Perrier Best Newcomer Award for The Tim Vine Fiasco at the Edinburgh Festival in 1995. That followed a runner-up prize in the Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year competition in 1993. Tim’s solo shows in Edinburgh include Tim Vine Flat Out (1998) and I’m Vine Thanks and Tim Vine and the Minotaur (both 1999).

Dane Baptiste

Original and provocative, Baptiste is hailed as one of the most exciting acts to break in years.

The London born stand up made comedy history in 2014 as the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for his debut stand up show Citizen Dane. Following this nomination, the show enjoyed incredible success at London’s Soho Theatre completing two sold out runs. His second stand up show Reasonable Doubts was again met with huge critical acclaim. In 2018 Dane set out on a world tour, covering numerous territories, with his smash hit third stand up hour G.O.D.

His extensive TV credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Black, British and Funny (Channel 4) and more.

Dane also hosts his own hugely successful podcast Dane Baptiste Questions Everything, which was recently acquired by Acast in 2020.

In October 2020, Dane’s satirical new pilot Bamous was commissioned by BBC Three, and will see Dane front a brand new comedy entertainment show, celebrating Blackness and Britishness. Dane’s brand new tour show The Chocolate Chip, which will launch in 2021.

Stephen Bailey

Stephen Bailey is a multi-award nominated comedian, presenter, actor and writer and self proclaimed pop culture vulture. A proud northern, working class, gay man, Stephen’s audacious brand of gossipy humour singles him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats.

Stephen’s quick-wit, playful sarcasm and enigmatic charm captivates instantly. He’s made a name for himself as a charming and loveable TV Presenter hosting Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5), Celebs on the Ranch (MTV) and Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central) – and as co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden. Stephen was resident Agony Uncle on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday (ITV) and a series regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (Channel 5). He also lends his vocal talents to narrating Five Guys A Week (Channel 4) and Ferne McCann: First Time Mum (ITV BE).

Jen Brister

Jen Brister is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian and writer who has been seen on BBC's Live at the Apollo, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, QI and Mock the Week. She is a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has written7 solo shows which she has performed at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival and toured extensively around the UK. Her book, a comedy memoir, "The Other Mother" was published by Square Peg in 2019.

Jen's stand up show "Meaningless' can be streamed on Soho Comedy Live. Next Up and Amazon Prime while her special , 'Waves' for BBC Radio 4 can be streamed on BBC Sounds.

A brand new comedy short, "Past Caring" written by Jen and Rosie Jones will be aired on SKY TV later this year.
