About the role

It’s fantastic that you would like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. Are you keen on cooking? If so then we may have the role for you! As a Cooking Group volunteer, you will be supporting our clients to make nutritious, budget friendly meals at the service. You will be encouraging clients to socialise as they cook, as well as collaborating with staff and clients to decide on recipes, buy ingredients and work with clients on budgeting in relation to buying and cooking.

*Please note a Level 2 food hygiene certificate is required for this role. This can be completed  online that St Mungo’s will organise and fund.

Please see all locations and the time commitments we are currently recruiting for in this role:

  • Kilburn- Any day between Monday- Friday, between 9am-5pm, 2-3 hours per week.
  • Camden- Preferably on Thursdays (but can be flexible), 10am-2:30pm, one day a week.

Recruitment for this role may be closed earlier depending on the volume of applications we receive.

Things to remember:

– Please look at the time commitments and locations required for this role and be sure you are able to commit. This role requires a 6 month commitment.

– A DBS check will be carried out for this role as it is a client-facing role.
