We welcome the Government’s commitment to “put Britain back on track to ending Homelessness” and that it will “develop a new cross-government strategy” to do this”. 1 The causes and consequences of homelessness are complex, and it is vital that all government departments work together to end homelessness.
With this being the first Budget and Spending Review of the new Government, we ask that these commitments are maintained, and that this is reflected by the Treasury adopting the measures we are recommending to achieve the commitment to end homelessness.
