About the role

It is fantastic that you would like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. A No Second Night Out (NSNO) is an early intervention service created to help rough sleepers in London. As a NSNO Volunteer you will be supporting at our Rough Sleeping Prevention Project in Islington. As a volunteer you would support clients to attend local activity groups, support with coffee mornings, some admin tasks and project support tasks such as laundry and Health and Safety checks. The ideal candidate for the role will be inclusive, friendly and able to support people with support needs sensitively and with empathy. You will be able to complete admin tasks to a good standard, and support clients with applications such as for Universal Credit.

This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience of working in a busy homelessness project, to directly make a difference in the lives of those recovering from homelessness and to give back to the community, whilst developing useful skills and meeting new people.

  • Islington- Every Wednesday for 3 hours from 9:30-12:30.
